This week, we'll read the introduction (PDF link) to Free Culture by Larry Lessig. I've linked to a version where I've cut out everything except the introduction (and the Creative Commons attribution). The full PDF is available as well, or you can grab other versions at the Free Culture website.
Note that I have embedded some thought/discussion questions in the PDF. I did this because it made it easy to highlight parts of the text and put my questions/comments exactly where I thought they belonged.
You will probably have your own thoughts/ideas along the way. Make note of them, and bring them to class—I'm prepared for our discussion regarding the notion of intellectual property, copyright, and control to go any number of directions.
