Lets say you're in college (you are), and you have lots of papers to write (you do). You're working away, and then Something Bad™ happens. Now, you're doomed. By "doomed" I mean "It's 3AM and your paper is due tomorrow and your computer crashed and you lost all your work."
We college professors really don't care. You're supposed to know better.
Watch this video about Dropbox. Install Dropbox. Save all of your important papers in the Dropbox folder. This way, if Something Bad™ happens to your computer, you can get your work back without having to beg for mercy from someone you just met a few weeks ago.
