O4: Tuesday

We'll see where we get to. Most likely, I'll use the end of Tuesday to introduce Thursday. See the S29 entry for what took place today.

UPDATE: The reason for the variation is washout of the list exercises. They were issued as a large homework (with the thought that they were "drill and practice"), but they were more challenging than expected. A better strategy would have been to issue them in the lab-centric format (over the same period of time), and provide practice problems for prep as well as between the Tuesday and Thursday sessions. It is likely the same learning outcome would have been achieved, but perhaps with less tension for the students. (And, less adaptation in the rhythm of the course.)

This also illustrates the value of having 6 hours of contact time in lab vs. 3. Only one lab per week makes this method (which relies on increased contact time) difficult to implement. It is going well because the students are working hard, but it could work better with changes to the schedule.
